DESCRIPTION

Skinlite Cream is a triple-combination topical medication primarily used for the short-term treatment of moderate-to-severe melasma (dark spots or patches on the face). It works by suppressing melanin production and reducing skin inflammation.

Key Components

The cream typically contains three active ingredients:

1. Hydroquinone: A skin-bleaching agent that reduces the production of melanin (the pigment that gives skin its color).

    

2. Tretinoin: A retinoid that increases skin cell turnover, helping the skin exfoliate faster and allowing the other ingredients to penetrate more effectively.

    

3. Mometasone: A mild corticosteroid that helps reduce redness, swelling, and itching that may be caused by the other two ingredients.

• Lightening patches of skin that have become darkened due to hormonal changes (like pregnancy or birth control pills) or skin trauma.

Important Guidelines

• Sun Protection: This medication makes the skin highly sensitive to UV rays. It is essential to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen and wear protective clothing during the day.

   

• Application: It is usually applied in a thin layer once daily at night, at least 30 minutes before bedtime.

   

• Duration: It is intended for short-term use only (typically 6–8 weeks) as directed by a healthcare professional. Prolonged use can lead to skin thinning or permanent discoloration.
