Lopamide tablet is manufactured by Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is used to treat diarrhoea. The active ingredient is loperamide. Lopamide works by slowing down intestinal contractions, allowing more time for the absorption of fluids and nutrients, resulting in less frequent bowel movements. After taking the Lopamide tablet, you may experience headaches, nausea, and constipation. However, these side effects are temporary and will resolve on their own. If these side effects worsen, please contact your doctor immediately.
You can stop taking this medicine once you get relief from diarrhoea. Avoid taking it if you have diarrhoea with blood or bacterial infection, causing diarrhoea. Roko capsule, Imodium capsule, Eldoper capsule, Lomofen Plus tablet and Andial tablet are some other medications containing loperamide as an active ingredient.
