Glycomet 500 SR tablets are used to manage type 2 diabetes, a condition where the body doesn’t effectively use insulin. They contain metformin, which works by reducing the production of sugar in the liver and decreasing the amount of sugar absorbed from food. This helps lower blood sugar levels.
Take Glycomet 500 SR tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or after meals. Do not increase the dose or stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about all your medical conditions, including any pregnancies, planned pregnancies, or breastfeeding. Also, disclose all other medications and supplements you are currently taking.

Glycomet 500 SR tablet is used for type 2 diabetes mellitus (‘non-insulin-dependent diabetes’) when diet and exercise have not been able to control your blood glucose levels.
