Amaryl M 2mg tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medication. It contains glimepiride and metformin as its active ingredients. It is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a condition in which blood sugar levels rise above the normal range and cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone. This medicine decreases elevated blood glucose levels. You must maintain a healthy diet and exercise along with the medication. Amaryl M 2mg must be taken as directed by the doctor, in prescribed doses and for the advised duration. It should be taken with meals, specifically with the first meal of the day. Take this tablet at the same time each day to achieve optimal therapeutic benefit. Before using the Amaryl M 2mg tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and provide a detailed medical history. An individual with uncontrolled diabetes is at greater risk of various health complications such as eye, kidney, and nerve problems, as well as heart diseases and stroke.

If you are allergic to metformin, glimepiride or other ingredients of the Amaryl M Tablet.

If you have kidney or liver failure.

If you have metabolic acidosis (too much acid in the body fluids) like lactic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis or diabetic pre-coma.

If you suffer from dehydration, severe infections, shock and injections containing iodine.
