DESCRIPTION
The AccuSure Life Blood Glucose Test Strips are diagnostic strips designed for the quantitative measurement of glucose levels in fresh capillary whole blood. They are intended for both at-home self-monitoring by individuals and professional use in clinical settings to aid in effective diabetes management.
Key Specifications & Features
-
Minimal Blood Sample: Requires only a tiny blood volume of 0.5 µL to 0.7 µL, which makes the lancing process less invasive and reduces patient discomfort.
-
Rapid Results: Delivers highly accurate blood glucose readings within just 8 seconds.
-
Advanced Enzyme Technology: Utilizes 4th-generation glucose dehydrogenase (GDH-FAD) enzyme technology to minimize external interference and ensure reliable, consistent clinical accuracy.
-
No Coding Required: Features auto-coding technology, eliminating the need for manual calibration, which streamlines the testing process and reduces the risk of user error.
-
Confirmation Window: Built with a visible confirmation window that helps the user easily verify if an adequate amount of blood has been drawn into the strip before the meter begins counting down.
-
Device Compatibility: Designed exclusively for use with the AccuSure Life Blood Glucose Meter (and select compatible models like the AccuSure Simple monitor).
General Usage Guidelines
-
Preparation: Wash and completely dry your hands before testing.
-
Insert the Strip: Fully insert the contact bar end of the test strip into the glucometer. The device will typically power on automatically.
-
Apply Blood: Use a lancing device to draw a drop of blood. Gently touch the blood drop to the absorbent edge of the test strip.
-
Verify Volume: Ensure the blood is automatically drawn in and completely fills the confirmation window.
-
Read Results: Wait for the meter to count down; your blood sugar reading will display on the screen in 8 seconds.
-
Disposal: Safely remove and discard the single-use strip.
Safety & Storage Information
-
Storage Conditions: Store the strips in their original vial in a cool, dry place (typically between 2°C and 30°C). Keep them away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, and moisture. Do not refrigerate.
-
Vial Care: Immediately recap the vial tightly after removing a strip to protect the remaining strips from humidity.
-
Validity: Do not use test strips that are expired, bent, or damaged, as this can lead to inaccurate readings.
-
Single-Use Only: These strips are for in vitro diagnostic use only and must never be reused.
