DESCRIPTION
Telekast A Tablet is a respiratory medication, primarily used to treat and prevent respiratory disorders like asthma attacks, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) and allergic rhinitis (hay fever). Asthma is a breathing problem in which airways narrow, swell and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases that mainly include emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes). Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the nose caused by an allergen, such as pollen, dust, mould, or flakes of skin from certain animals.
Uses
Treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Bronchitis, Asthma, Emphysema and Allergic rhinitis.
Directions for Use
Swallow the medicine as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.
Side effects
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Telekast A Tablet PR is a combination of two medicines: acebrophylline and montelukast. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic and helps relax the muscles in the airways. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
