DESCRIPTION
Rosumac F Tablet is used to lower an increased level of total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) level. This prevents the risk of having any cardiovascular events like heart attack, stroke, and heart-related chest pain (angina) in the future. The blockage of the heart occurs due to the increased level of bad cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein -LDL and triglycerides – TG), which build-up of fat, cholesterol, and other waxy substances layers forming a plaque in the lining of the artery wall (coronary arteries). This increases the chance of having a blood clot and heart attack in an individual.
Rosumac F Tablet contains Rosuvastatin (statin) and Fenofibrate (fibric acid derivative). Rosuvastatin lowers the levels of raised lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood and increases the ‘good’ cholesterol (HDL) by blocking our body’s production of ‘bad’ cholesterol. It also improves your body’s ability to remove it from your blood. On the other hand, Fenofibrate works by lowering the level of triglyceride in the blood.

Works
ROSUMAC F 10MG TABLET is a combination of Fenofibrate and Rosuvastatin which helps to reduces the levels of bad cholesterol (VLDL and LDL) and triglycerides in the body by modulating the actions of certain enzymes that are involved in lipid metabolism (such as HMG-CoA reductase and lipoprotein lipase). Additionally, it can also reduce the amount of cholesterol absorbed in the body. By lowering the blood lipid levels, it helps to manage fat deposition within the blood vessels and reduces the chances of heart attack, stroke, atherosclerosis or other circulatory problems.
How to use
- Take the medicine as directed by the physician
- It is taken preferably after meals. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition
- Do not stop taking ROSUMAC F 10MG TABLET without consulting the doctor
