DESCRIPTION
Medi Grip Water Repellent Adhesive Bandages are specialized antiseptic first-aid plasters designed to protect minor wounds while resisting moisture.1 Unlike standard fabric bandages that soak up water, these are specifically engineered to stay secure and effective in damp conditions or during brief contact with water.
Core Product Description
The bandage consists of a central medicated pad attached to a self-adhesive backing.2 It is primarily used for the initial protection of superficial injuries, minor cuts, and bruises.
-
Antiseptic Pad: The pad is impregnated with Benzalkonium Chloride (0.5% w/w), a powerful antiseptic that helps prevent infection and manages bacterial growth at the wound site.4
-
Water Repellent Technology: The backing substrate is treated to repel water, ensuring the bandage doesn’t become soggy or lose its grip when exposed to light moisture.
-
Non-Adherent Film: The pad is laminated with a perforated film, which prevents it from sticking to the wound, making removal painless and preventing further trauma to the healing skin.5
Key Features & Benefits
| Feature | Benefit |
| Moisture Resistance | Repels water to keep the wound dry and prevent the adhesive from peeling off. |
| Breathability | Micro-perforations allow air to reach the skin, facilitating faster healing. |
| Quick-Stick Adhesion | High-quality adhesive provides an instant, firm grip even on flexible body parts. |
| Skin Tolerance | Hypoallergenic formulation designed to minimize skin irritation or redness. |
| Absorbency | Effectively absorbs light secretions and exudates from the injury. |
