Medi Grip Water Repellent Adhesive Bandages are specialized antiseptic first-aid plasters designed to protect minor wounds while resisting moisture.¹ Unlike standard fabric bandages that soak up water, these are specifically engineered to stay secure and effective in damp conditions or during brief contact with water.

The bandage consists of a central medicated pad attached to a self-adhesive backing.² It is primarily used for the initial protection of superficial injuries, minor cuts, and bruises.

• Antiseptic Pad: The pad is impregnated with Benzalkonium Chloride (0.5% w/w), a powerful antiseptic that helps prevent infection and manages bacterial growth at the wound site.⁴

   

• Water Repellent Technology: The backing substrate is treated to repel water, ensuring the bandage doesn’t become soggy or lose its grip when exposed to light moisture.

• Non-Adherent Film: The pad is laminated with a perforated film, which prevents it from sticking to the wound, making removal painless and preventing further trauma to the healing skin.⁵

Usage Instructions

1. Clean: Gently rinse the wound with clean water or an antiseptic solution to remove dirt.⁶

2. Dry: Pat the skin surrounding the wound dry (adhesive sticks best to dry skin).⁷

3. Apply: Place the medicated pad directly over the wound.⁸ Press the adhesive edges firmly to ensure a seal.

    

4. Monitor: Change the bandage daily, or immediately if the pad becomes soaked with fluid or the bandage becomes heavily soiled.⁹
