FourDerm Cream is a topical combination medication primarily used to treat skin infections that involve inflammation, bacteria, and fungi. It is commonly prescribed for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, and athlete’s foot.

Key Composition

Each gram of the cream typically contains a synergistic blend of four active ingredients:

• Clobetasol Propionate (0.05%): A potent corticosteroid that reduces swelling, redness, and itching by blocking inflammatory chemicals.

• Neomycin Sulphate (0.5%): An antibiotic that stops bacterial growth.

• Miconazole Nitrate (2.0%): An antifungal agent that kills fungi by damaging their cell membranes.

• Chlorhexidine Gluconate (0.2%): An antiseptic that disinfects the skin surface and prevents further infection.

• Mixed Infections: Effective for skin issues where both bacteria and fungi are present.

How to Apply

1. Cleanse: Gently wash and dry the affected area before application.

2. Thin Layer: Apply a small amount and rub it in gently until absorbed, usually 1–2 times daily.

3. Hygiene: Wash your hands thoroughly after applying, unless your hands are the area being treated.

4. Avoid Bandages: Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings or bandages unless specifically told to do so by a doctor.

Important Precautions

• External Use Only: Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and sensitive areas like the face or groin unless directed.

• Duration: Do not use for longer than prescribed, as the steroid component can lead to skin thinning or stretch marks.

• Contraindications: Not recommended for children under 2 years old or for viral infections like chickenpox or shingles.

• Storage: Keep the tube in a cool, dry place, ideally below 25°C, and protected from direct sunlight.
