Directions for Use
Tablet: Take it with or without food as advised by your doctor, and swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Syrup/Suspension: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the recommended dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.

Ferium XT Tablet is a combination of two drugs, namely: Ferrous ascorbate (iron supplement) and folic acid (a form of vitamin B9). Ferium XT Tablet works by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and hemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so that body’s each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Also, folic acid is necessary in pregnancy as it plays a role in the development of the brain and spinal cord in the unborn baby.

What if I have taken an overdose of Ferium XT Tablet
Do not take more than the suggested dose of Ferium XT Tablet as it may cause overdose. If you suspect you have taken overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.
Drug Warnings
If you are allergic to Ferium XT Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Ferium XT Tablet . Ferium XT Tablet should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor. If you have an allergy to any sugars, inform your doctor before taking Ferium XT Tablet as it may contain lactose. If you have a stomach ulcer, vitamin B12 deficiency, any blood disorder, repeated blood transfusions, ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon), pernicious anaemia (anaemia due to lack of vitamin B12) or folate-dependent tumour, inform your doctor before taking Ferium XT Tablet .
