DESCRIPTION

Betamil GM Cream is a multi-action combination medicine used to treat various inflammatory and infected skin conditions. It is particularly effective for skin issues where redness and itching are accompanied by a bacterial or fungal infection.

Composition

The cream contains three active ingredients:

• Betamethasone (0.05% w/w): A potent steroid (corticosteroid) that reduces swelling, redness, and itching by blocking inflammatory chemicals.

   

• Gentamicin (0.1% w/w): An antibiotic that stops the growth of bacteria causing skin infections.

   

• Miconazole Nitrate (2.0% w/w): An antifungal agent that kills fungi and prevents their spread.

   

Primary Uses

• Eczema and Dermatitis: Relief from itchy, inflamed, or oozing skin.

   

• Psoriasis: Management of red, scaly, and itchy patches.

   

• Mixed Infections: Treatment of skin conditions complicated by both bacteria and fungi (e.g., infected ringworm or athlete’s foot).

Side Effects

While usually well-tolerated when used as directed, common side effects at the application site may include:

• Burning or stinging sensation

   

• Skin irritation or redness

   

• Dryness or peeling of the skin
