Mechanism of Action
Luliconazole works by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol demethylase. This blocks the production of ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell wall. Without ergosterol, holes form in the cell membrane, causing the cellular contents to leak out and the fungus to die.
