DESCRIPTION

Quadriderm RF is a multi-action topical cream commonly prescribed for various inflammatory skin conditions complicated by bacterial or fungal infections. It combines four active ingredients to provide a broad therapeutic effect.

Composition & Key Ingredients

The “RF” in the name often refers to the reformulated combination of the following components:

• Beclomethasone Dipropionate: A potent corticosteroid that reduces swelling, itching, and redness by suppressing the inflammatory response.

• Neomycin Sulfate: An antibiotic that treats or prevents bacterial infections of the skin.

• Clotrimazole: An antifungal agent effective against ringworm, athlete’s foot, and candidiasis.

Common Uses

This cream is typically used to treat “mixed infections” where inflammation, bacteria, and fungus are all present. Typical applications include:

• Dermatitis & Eczema: Especially when the skin has become infected due to scratching.

• Tinea Infections: Such as Ringworm (Tinea Corporis), Jock Itch (Tinea Cruris), and Athlete’s Foot (Tinea Pedis).

• Psoriasis: To manage inflammation and secondary infection in affected patches.

Application Instructions

1. Cleanse: Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly before application.

2. Apply: Use a thin layer of cream and rub it in gently.

3. Frequency: Usually applied 2–3 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

4. Hand Hygiene: Wash your hands immediately after use unless the hands are the area being treated.

Important Precautions

• Duration: Do not use for extended periods (usually no more than 7–14 days) unless advised by a doctor, as long-term steroid use can thin the skin.
