Kaylite Cream

DESCRIPTION

Kaylite Cream is a topical skin-lightening medication commonly used to treat melasma, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. It is a “triple combination” cream, meaning it contains three active pharmaceutical ingredients that work together to suppress melanin production and reduce skin inflammation.

Key Ingredients

• Hydroquinone: A skin-bleaching agent that decreases the formation of melanin (the pigment that gives skin its color).

   

• Tretinoin: A form of Vitamin A (retinoid) that increases skin cell turnover, helping the newer, lighter skin cells reach the surface faster.

   

• Mometasone: A mild corticosteroid that reduces swelling, redness, and itching that can sometimes be caused by the other two ingredients.

   

Usage & Application

1. Time of Application: It is strictly recommended for nighttime use only. Hydroquinone and Tretinoin make the skin highly sensitive to sunlight.

2. Cleanse: Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry before applying.

    

3. Amount: Apply a thin layer only to the affected areas (dark spots or patches), avoiding the eyes, nostrils, and mouth.

    

4. Sun Protection: During the day, it is essential to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and wear protective clothing, as the treated skin is more prone to sunburn.

• Prescription Required: This is a potent medication and should only be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

• Short-term Use: It is generally not intended for long-term daily use. Prolonged use of hydroquinone can occasionally lead to a condition called ochronosis (permanent blue-black darkening of the skin).

   

• Side Effects: Common reactions include mild stinging, redness, or peeling. If severe irritation occurs, usage should be discontinued.
