DESCRIPTION

Sterile Water for Injections IP is a clear, colorless, and odorless liquid used primarily as a solvent or vehicle for the administration of parenteral (injectable) drugs. The “IP” stands for Indian Pharmacopoeia, meaning the product meets the specific purity and quality standards set by the Indian government.

Key Characteristics

• Purity: It is highly purified water that has been distilled and contains no added substances, antimicrobial agents, or buffers.

• Sterility: It is processed to be completely free of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi).

• Apyrogenicity: It is non-pyrogenic, meaning it is free from fever-inducing bacterial endotoxins. This is crucial because it is injected directly into the bloodstream or tissues.
